The latest addition to my Dior collection is this ‘Patchouli Imperial Eau de Parfum’. Dior recently reformulated their exclusive range and I picked up this fragrance.

My Experience with Christian Dior Patchouli Imperial Eau de Parfum:

Christian Dior Patchouli Imperial Eau de Parfum comes housed in a thick glass bottle with the name and fragrance name printed on it. The cap is magnetic one. The ‘CD’ logo has been engraved on the cap and on the atomiser as well. The bottle contains 250 ml of perfume.

After smelling the several Dior fragrances I went for Patchouli Imperial and it was a tough task to decide one from the range of so many amazing fragrances. I generally don’t like patchouli fragrances, but this one is just outstanding.

After ‘Oud Isphan‘ and ‘La Colle Noire‘, Patchouli Imperial offers the kind of notes I prefer in my perfumes. Patchouli Imperial is a very dark, deep, slightly smoky-slightly earthy, semi-spicy and semi-green fragrance. It is similar to what I like but still very different from the fragrances I already have.

It is very strong when you spray it initially. You might not like it initially as that’s what happened to me, but as the scent settles down in an hour, it turns into the most beautiful, warm spicy scent. It might end up being my favourite winter scent. As the scent mellows down, it becomes more of an intimate fragrance; only people sitting next to.you will smell it.

I personally feel this will be a better option for the night time than the day. Just like La Colle Noire and Oud Ispahan, this is also very long-lasting and needs a single spray. I get a full day wear out of this fragrance. If you like dark, deep and spicy fragrances then you will definitely like this.
